Voted #1 ......Breakfast Time!
So I was thinking in what my last post should be about.
My favorite meal of the day is breakfast to keep me going for the long day ahead of me and also lunch with friends.
This place was voted #1 for breakfast in Monterey.
So, the last place I am going to introduce you to is the Old Monterey Cafe right on the strip of Down Town Monterey.
This is the place I went for my 19th birthday for breakfast in High School because the price is reasonable and it was near school.
They have omelettes, sandwiches, pancakes, and more.
My personal favorite is the omelette is the artichoke hearts with bacon in it.
Or the French Toast Special with 2 texas toast slices, 2 large farm-fresh eggs, and 2 strips of bacon for $8.15
They also have a healthy choice menu where you can order granola where you can get fresh strawberries and blueberries.
yummmm~!
The people there are very friendly and this place is also decorated like a home.
Posters, pots, pans, trains, old fashioned miniature cars are on each wall.
The Old Monterey Cafe is ranked #18 out of 176 restaurant in Monterey according to Trip Advisor.

How about some Art work?
My other favorite place to go other then the Aquarium is Synchronicity Studios.
Located on 125 Oceanview Blvd. #104 Pacific Grove. 93950
Tel: 831-333-1164
Open everyday from 10a.m-6p.m.
If you can't make it in by 6 no worries make a reservation they extended to about 8 (depending on whose working)
Its were you can paint your own ceramics and gifts.
Take a break from your work and school. Its a place where everyone is wel
come.
There are no sitting fees at this one. You pay for the pottery and that's it!
If you couldnt finish it in one session its ok.
You can take the pottery and the paint home so you can do it at your own home.
It's so convenient and a reasonable price.
Looking for something this mothers day? or the upcoming fathers day? or even a birthday?
Go to synchronicity studios!!!

If you like Thai....
So this entry is on my favorite Thai restaurant!!
It's called Thai Bistro II located between Monterey and Pacific Grove.
It's very small and cozy, the owner remodeled their home in to a restaurant.
Inside, they have pictures up against the wall from local photographers.
Its makes you feel at home.
This place is not the ordinary Thai restaurant with the crazy decorations it has more of a boat theme to it. The inside is blue and makes you feel relaxed.
The price ranges form $6-30
My recommendation is to go at lunch during the weekday so you can catch the lunch specials
which range from $6-$12 add the Thai Iced Tea and it's still less than $20.
Very casual I went here many times when I was attending the community college in Monterey.
The servers are always nice there is this lady who is on her down side at times but doesn't bother me too much.
It is somewhere you'd go with family or friends but not too spacey so 2~4 people is recommended 5 might be too crowded unless they put the tables together.
Location-
159 Central Ave.
Pacific Grove, CA 93950
Tel:(831)372-8700
It is about 3blocks away from the Aquarium so when your finished eating you can walk down and enjoy the ocean breeze.
Reservation is not required they always have seats available.
Not because their not good but because its were the locals go and the locals go at around 1-2
so if you go before that you will definitely get a seat.
They have outside deck seating as well so if the weather is nice you should definitely stay out and eat.

First Place to GO!
So, my blog is about my hometown Monterey and it's surroundings. Monterey is located south of San Jose. A beautiful place to go if the sun is shinning but usually it's foggy. I grew up there and love the place.
This may not be the best place to go if your the kind of person who wants to party, drink, and have an all niter. There isn't many hip places but it is one of the friendliest and safest places.
Why am I writing this blog? Well its for the ones who want to get out of the city and enjoy the beach and mountains at the same time. This is for the people who likes to eat and wants to relax and have some time to themselves or maybe with a significant other. This blog is for the ones who want to dine somewhere where the locals go.
I would like to show you some of my favorite places to go so that when you plan a trip to Monterey county you can keep it in mind where to eat and the place to go.
The First Restaurant I would like to introduce is Max's Grill located in Pacific Grove.
Max's Grill is a California French Cuisine presented by a Japanese Chef; Hisayuki Max Muramatsu his wife is the Host there.
It is a family owned resturant, casual attire, and is right near down town P.G.
Everything is homemade!

Address:209 Forest Ave. Pacific Grove 93950 right behind Washington Mutual
Phone Number: 831 375 7997
Their operating hours are from 5p.m.-9p.m.
They have sunset (early bird) menus from 5p.m.- 6p.m.
Price range from $15-25 per. person.
They have a wide selection of wines from Pinot Grigio,Talbott, Kendall-Jackson, Don-Perignon, and more.

Apetizers chose from Ravioli, Crispy Shrimp Spring Roll, and Tempura Prawns.
Soup of the day, Cesar Salad, or Garden Salad.
For Dinner they have rib-eye, lamb shank, surf and turf, sand dabs, sushi & tempura, also Cioppino.
Dessert they have Max's famous Hawaiian Mango Mouese Cake, Cocout Cerme Brulee, and Pistachio-Hazlenut Chocolate Mousse Cake.
They also give you freshly oven baked bread which is Max's original as well.
I recommend students to go for sunset menu because you get a salad or soup and dinner for only $14.95.
You can get the Braised Lamb Shank, Chicken Piccata, Ravioli and more!
I recommend everyone to go here and try it at least once! :)
The servers are fun and very helpful, but remember to make your reservations for weekends just in case.
You can make your reservation either online or on the phone.

Challenges and Opportunity for Bloggers
My challenge this year is to juggle two jobs and being at school as a full time student. Last month was so stressful because I've never been in such situation. I realized that I should just suck it up and do as much as possible.

As of blogging, I've had my own blog on xanga before but never really got in to it. Writing is just not my thing to do. This will be a challenge and an opportunity to learn something new.
