First Place to GO!

So, my blog is about my hometown Monterey and it's surroundings. Monterey is located south of San Jose. A beautiful place to go if the sun is shinning but usually it's foggy. I grew up there and love the place.
This may not be the best place to go if your the kind of person who wants to party, drink, and have an all niter. There isn't many hip places but it is one of the friendliest and safest places.
Why am I writing this blog? Well its for the ones who want to get out of the city and enjoy the beach and mountains at the same time. This is for the people who likes to eat and wants to relax and have some time to themselves or maybe with a significant other. This blog is for the ones who want to dine somewhere where the locals go.

I would like to show you some of my favorite places to go so that when you plan a trip to Monterey county you can keep it in mind where to eat and the place to go.

The First Restaurant I would like to introduce is Max's Grill located in Pacific Grove.
Max's Grill is a California French Cuisine presented by a Japanese Chef; Hisayuki Max Muramatsu his wife is the Host there.
It is a family owned resturant, casual attire, and is right near down town P.G.
Everything is homemade!

Address:209 Forest Ave. Pacific Grove 93950 right behind Washington Mutual
Phone Number: 831 375 7997
Their operating hours are from 5p.m.-9p.m.
They have sunset (early bird) menus from 5p.m.- 6p.m.
Price range from $15-25 per. person.

They have a wide selection of wines from
Pinot Grigio,Talbott, Kendall-Jackson, Don-Perignon, and more.

Apetizers chose from Ravioli, Crispy Shrimp Spring Roll, and Tempura Prawns.
Soup of the day, Cesar Salad, or Garden Salad.
For Dinner they have rib-eye, lamb shank, surf and turf, sand dabs, sushi & tempura, also Cioppino.
Dessert they have Max's famous Hawaiian Mango Mouese Cake, Cocout Cerme Brulee, and Pistachio-Hazlenut Chocolate Mousse Cake.

They also give you freshly oven baked bread which is Max's original as well.

I recommend students to go for sunset menu because you get a salad or soup and dinner for only $14.95.
You can get the Braised Lamb Shank, Chicken Piccata, Ravioli and more!

I recommend everyone to go here and try it at least once! :)

The servers are fun and very helpful, but remember to make your reservations for weekends just in case.

You can make your reservation either online or on the phone.
